Historical Ornamentation / Pattern Through a Single Motif.

This project explores how one motif can shift across cultures and histories through form and style. 
Also, the pattern-making process allowed me to deepen my understanding of visual hierarchy, which is a fundamental 
principle in design. The final patterns were implemented in packaging design to explore their practical application.

                                                                                                              < Ornaments set inspired by Lobelia >
                                                                                                                   Began by researching historical patterns and chose one flower as my core motif.
                                                                                                                  Inspired by flower Lobelia, I designed a base set of ornamental elements.

                                                                                                              < Developed ornaments set based on Medieval, Greek, Psychedelic Art Nouveau, Rococo, and Indian >                                                                                                                                                                         After researching five historical patterns, inspired by five pattern styles,
                                                                                                                    I designed five additional ornaments that maintain the form of a Lobelia.

                                                                                                                 Using the final ornaments, I created five unique patterns—each reflecting
                                                                                                                 the visual language  of its style while staying rooted in the original flower.
